What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an award-winning injectable hyaluronic acid which is unique because it flows under the skin so it distributes to all areas to deeply hydrate the skin. In addition it also stimulates collagen production in the skin leading to further improvement in skin quality, elasticity and firmness. Skin will feel smoother and regain a natural glow.

What areas can Profhilo treat?

Profhilo is great for improving skin quality on the face, neck, decolletage, backs of hands and upper arms.

 

What does Profhilo treatment entail?

Profhilo treatment of the face will entail 5 injections on each side of the face. You will be left with small lumps at the injection sites which will gradually disappear over the next 24 hours or so as the hyaluronic acid flows under the skin and distributes. Two treatments are needed spaced 4 weeks apart.

When will I see results?

The results are gradual over the weeks following treatment as the hyaluronic acid gel gets to work, binding with water to bring lasting hydration and stimulating collagen production to improve your skin's elasticity and smoothness.

How long do results last?

The results of Profhilo usually last around 6 months.

Am I suitable for treatment?

Treatment is not recommended if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, but it is worth booking a consultation to discuss how Profhilo may benefit your skin when you are ready. Profhilo is a great treatment for all ages and is known as the "6 month moisturiser".

What is Viscoderm Hydrobooster?

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is the sister product of Profhilo which hydrates and stimulates collagen production in the skin and is able to treat more targeted areas such as forehead lines, crows feet, lip lines and crepet skin of the lower cheek area. It has a unique stretching effect to reduce superficial wrinkles and can be used alone or in combination with Profhilo. Viscoderm Hydrobooster results continue to improved for 8 weeks at which point a further treatment may be required. Results will then last around 6 months.

When can I book my appointment?

Appointments can be booked online. When choosing your appointment please remember that you will be left with some small visible lumps at the injections sites for around 24 hours and there is a risk of bruising, so please ensure that you do not have any important social events for 2 weeks after your treatment.
